As it does every year, Alvantia has decked its offices out in red to celebrate the most significant period in its calendar. In addition to the festive season, the company is also celebrating its birth in 2003, when its CEO, Roberto Gutiérrez, decided to found it on 30 December, an unusual day to establish a business.
Fifteen years later, Alvantia has gone from being an SME with fewer than 10 employees and facing the uncertainties of that time to a company with strong economic solvency, an international presence and a workforce of one hundred employees. The growth of our activity has remained steady throughout all these years, even during the financial crisis, which is a testament to our know-how and prestige within the sector.
The development of Alvantia as a company has been strongly marked by the expansion of the range of services provided, adding to the initial technological consulting services, custom development project management and, currently, the provision of Business Financing products.
If we look back at the road we have travelled, it is surprising how we have been able to evolve so much (in terms of scale, services and positioning) while keeping our essence and identity intact: integrity, innovation capacity, focus on excellence and our closeness and commitment to both our colleagues and our clients.
A good example of the closeness of the team was witnessed in some of the activities that are now a deep-rooted tradition at Alvantia at this time of the year, such as the Christmas Lunch, held on Friday 30 November at the restaurant Loft 39 in Madrid, and the Companies Race (16 December), in which the sportiest of our colleagues shared a morning of running with more than 17,000 participants.
In order to show our offices to the youngest members of the household, we organised Children’s Day on 14 December as an “Open Day”. With their workshops and Christmas cards, those who are the centre of attention during the festive period made the final stretch of the year more enjoyable, infecting us with their enthusiasm.
With that same enthusiasm we face the coming year, a 2019 full of challenges that represent an improvement on the previous year. We wish you happy holidays and that, just like us on our 15th anniversary, they will remind you of the good times and fill you with strength to help you have an even better year next year.
